My husband is the best ever. In the midst of the chaos that is our home right now- we are moving house shortly- I smiled as sweetly as I could muster and mentioned how sad it was that the next Brown Owls was English Paper Piecing and that I had already packed the project I had been working on for over a year and a half (this photo was taken in February 2011).
Tonight he spent an hour in the garage going through the boxes labelled Craft Room until we unearthed not only the work in progress, but the bag of hexagons I need to complete it as well (of course packed in a completely separate box). I do know how lucky I am to have such a good egg who is always so willing to help out, no matter how unreasonable the request (and I have to say, this one was right up there for unreasonableness).
Things are a little quiet here at the moment while we are preoccupied with the move. I have been crafting away in bits and pieces as a reward to myself after completing packing tasks. I've managed to bind A2's new quilt and finish my crocheted blanket, but they are packed away now and will have to wait till we move to photograph them. I wonder if I can also finish the hexagon table runner- meant to sit on top of my Granma's buffet- before we move?

He is a good egg :). Have fun tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI think it should stay OUT of the packing box, and be your night-time sanity project! It is just so lovely.
