I have been really enjoying shopping at The Spot lately. Its my go-to place for crocheting bamboo/cotton, and the fabric selection seems to be improving all the time. I have also discovered (via Bron) that Spotlight Buying Team members have a blog which sometimes contains handy information- it is quite a trek from where I live to the nearest Spot, so this is helpful for me. Yesterday I picked up this lovely Japanese Lawn (on the right) for backing my yet to be made Gallery Fiori quilt (on the left). I am hoping to start cutting the quilt some time this weekend.
A few weeks ago I bought the khaki and sage coloured Lisette fabric which I am going to make a dress out of for myself, and this gorgeous apple and pear print, once again Japanese lawn, maybe for a top or some pillowcases. I had hoped it would be wide enough to make a tablecloth for our table but it isn't.
Last, but not least, this great London fabric for A1. I have previously written about her classes focus on London this year- so this was a perfect buy. I also bought the perfect pillowcase fabric for Sister 4 (as seen here) a few weeks back- I am fairly sure it is part of the new Denyse Schmidt Quilting range.
