I have been busily working away at a few housewarming gifts lately for Sisters 3 and 4 who are both doing the Jebediah. When I visited Sister 3's new flat a few weeks ago I immediately knew the perfect fabric to make cushions for her new couch.
Leslie Keating of maze & vale, based in Melbourne, makes the most beautiful hand printed fabric. A1 and A2 are lucky enough to own some Windsees made by Leslie under the onegirl banner back in 2007 (I think) and they are gorgeous. This is Lucy- a Christmas gift for A2's second Christmas.
Sister 3 loves clouds and owns a number of cloud based artworks. So we ordered the fabric (you can choose the basecloth- we went with bone cotton, and also the print type and colour- so very exciting!) and eagerly awaited its arrival.
I was so excited when it arrived and there was some frantic texting back and forth about it. Luckily we were heading up to Sydney again for the school holidays and so Sister 3 didn't have long to wait for her cushions.
Here are the finished cushions! The fabric was so lovely to sew with, the print is just gorgeous and Sister 3 is very happy with them. I was quite sad to see them go- I might have to think about doing a custom fabric order for me now.

The clouds are lovely! I'm a bit cloud obsessed at the moment - I have a fiskars cloud shaped hole punch waiting for me at the post office, and i can't wait to get cloud-crafting!
